Indications for Spinal Decompression Therapy:
- Degenerative disc disease
- Pain that has lasted more than one month and is generated from a process other than herniation
- Herniated disc disease and bulges (“Slipped Disc”)
- Back pain that lasts longer than one week
- Sciatica, Leg Pain
- Posterior facet syndrome
- Spinal stenosis/arthritis
- Pinched nerve
- Facet syndrome
- Golf-related back pain
- Spinal ligamentous strain
- Spinal musculature weakness/atrophy
- Spondylosis
Contraindications for Spinal Decompression Therapy:
- Pregnancy
- Severe obesity
- Individuals with loss of bowel and/or bladder control. e.g. Cauda Equina Syndrome
- Severe osteoporosis
- Growing children
- Age > 70 years old
- History of spinal surgery with eg. screws/metal plates/cages ( spinal fusion )
- Recent spinal and/or hip surgery
